We currently have a 6 year old female Burmese. We used to have two other mixed cats in the house, but they are now outside kitties due to pee issues. Their ousting has been a bit hard on our Burmese, Zoey. She has become quite the meow-er, even though the ousting was about 6 months ago. We're wondering if getting her a Burm buddy would make her happy to have some kitty company (she doesn't pay much mind to the dogs, but she does enjoy playing with us and our 19 month old daughter).

Anyone have any experience with having one Burmese and introducing a second later on? More meowing? Happier kitty? Any other insights?

Just don't get another female or you will regret it.
A little boy might be ok as long as it starts out a young kitten so she can mother it.
In my experience though feline company is not happiness for Burms ...mine really hates the Tonk i got to keep him company. ><

All good to know. Although my cat doesn't have the slightest maternal instinct... she always used to seek that from my older cat.
